![]() ![]() When tried to upgrade using pip install –upgrade pip, the command fails Command "python setup.py egg_info" failed with error code 1.Below is the complete error message. Some of the packages needs a higher version of pip atleast above 9.0.1. However, the version it has installed is 8.1.2 for Python version 2.7 though the latest version is 22.3.1. If needing to later prevent the upgrade from occuring, you will need to delete the environment variable setting, or set it to an empty value.On my CentOS 7 minimal server installation, I installed python-pip using YUM. The environment variable can be set to any non empty value to trigger the upgrade. If creating a new build or deployment, you can use the -build-env option to oc new-app or oc new-build. $ oc set env bc/cookbook UPGRADE_PIP_TO_LATEST=trueĪnd then trigger a new build. To set this environment variable on an existing build configuration, you can use the oc set env command on the build configuration.
